As part of the ESP-Disk’ 60th Anniversary Salon Series, Loove Labs proudly presents an evening that captures the label’s uncompromising spirit and radical musical vision. Headlining the night are avant-garde guitarists Elliott Sharp and Joe Morris, two longtime ESP-affiliated artists whose fearless improvisations and genre-defying approaches embody the label’s founding promise: “You never heard such sounds in your life.” This is a rare duo performance that brings decades of exploratory sound and deep listening into sharp focus.

Opening the night is composer and multi-instrumentalist Peter Apfelbaum, making a rare NYC appearance with his ensemble New York Hieroglyphics. Drawing on jazz, Afrobeat, and avant-garde traditions, Apfelbaum’s music is rhythm-forward and ever-shifting—an inspired prelude to the night's sonic explorations.
