Michael Bisio's NuMBQ is clearly lit from within, and a force to be reckoned with.  Featuring master improvisors Kirk Knuffke on cornet, Charles Burnham on violin,  Marianne Osiel on english horn, and Jay Rosen on percussion, their program is organic, expansive and fresh- with roots in Third Stream music and beyond.
