Peter Apfelbaum & the New York Hieroglyphics - live sound salon

LOOVE ANNEX welcomes SOUND LEADER and vibrational steward Peter Apfelbaum for a rare NYC appearance with the groundbreaking New York Hieroglyphics—an ensemble rooted in rhythm, ritual, and radical listening. Apfelbaum’s work is formidable and singular, defying description, drawing on common wellsprings in jazz, spirituals of all traditions and realtime exploration.

On Friday, JUNE 13,  Elliott Sharp & Joe Morris—two longtime ESP-Disk artists—take the stage thereafter for a wide-ranging set of discursive guitar work.  Their performance continues the label’s tradition of radical sound, reaffirming ESP-Disk’s founding promise: “You never heard such sounds in your life.”
