Saxophone Colossus [Import] LP (Wax Time)

From 1954 to 1958, Sonny Rollins recorded numerous sessions, with Saxophone Colossus often considered his breakthrough album. Recorded in mono on June 22, 1956, it features Rollins, along with Tommy Flanagan, Doug Watkins, and Max Roach. The album includes tracks like "St. Thomas," inspired by a calypso style, and "Blue 7," a lengthy blues piece. "St. Thomas" has become a jazz standard.
